They Asked Me to Prepare a Show for the Annual Gala, So I Performed Selling Crutches

Chen Chen transmigrates to a parallel world and becomes a junior reporter at the national television station.

His boss asks him to prepare a performance for the company's annual gala.

Chen Chen brings out his sketch, Selling Crutches.

With the Spring Festival Gala approaching and no satisfactory comedy act lined up for the finale, the chief director happens to see the sketch Selling Crutches and immediately decides: "This is it. You're closing the gala!"

News Channel Director: "I told you to prepare a show for the annual gala. How did you end up closing the Spring Festival Gala?"

Variety Channel Executive: "I sent you to interview comedians from the Dragon Kingdom. How did you win the championship?"

Military Channel Director: "I asked you to make a documentary. How did you come up with Stories from the Mess Hall?"

Movie Channel Executive: "I sent you to visit a film set. How did you make a movie that earned over a billion at the box office?"

And so, a comedy master suddenly burst onto the scene!
