Electrodes are inserted into the brain and connected to a computer that generates images and sensory signals. Because all the information you acquire about the world is processed through your brain, this computer has the ability to simulate your daily experience. If this were indeed possible, how could you prove that the world around you was real and not some simulated environment generated by a computer?
