The Girl Who Watches the Stars

This story chronicles the life and inner monologue of a girl named Sheng. It portrays the ordinary yet extraordinary life of a strong girl, including the confusion and uncertainty of youth, the warmth and coldness of family, inexplicable feelings, a lover she cannot bring herself to love, sincere and helpful friendships, and the thoughts and feelings she experiences as she grows. There is always a star above Sheng. Every night, she gazes up at the stars, searching for the direction of the light and answers within herself. The stars are a beacon lit in the sky by departed loved ones for a lost child.
