Great Ming: I Really Don't Want to Be Emperor

Being the son of the world's richest man and spending every day in decadent luxury was just too painful. Shen Yan couldn't take it anymore and leaped from a high-rise, only to transmigrate by accident to the fourteenth year of the Chongzhen reign in the Ming Dynasty. He had hoped to live an ordinary life, but his abilities wouldn't let him.

Just after he was reborn, he learned that he was a prince, the son of the Tianqi Emperor, the true and legitimate heir to the Ming Dynasty, and the nephew of the Chongzhen Emperor. Shen Yan, who had only wanted an ordinary life, hurriedly burned the yellow cloth that proved his identity.

He settled down to farm, only to dig up gold in his field and become the richest man in the village overnight. He promptly donated all his property.

He joined the army, but somehow he just couldn't die. For no apparent reason, he was promoted to deputy general. He falsely claimed to be a spy for the rebel army and begged to be executed, but was praised for his loyalty and bravery and made a thousand-household commander of the Embroidered Uniform Guard.

At his wit's end, he went to the southeastern coast to clear his head, but Zheng Zhilong and the others discovered his identity, dressed him in the imperial robes, and proclaimed him emperor. Thus began his love-hate relationship with the Chongzhen Emperor...
