The Mistress of the Household

Born in a peaceful era, she suddenly witnesses an ancient rebellion, the schemes and betrayals among the imperial clans and nobility, and how important an ancient man is within his family.

Now that she has become the mistress of the household, how can she live life on her own terms? And how can she make a hidebound, all-powerful ancient man abandon the idea of taking multiple wives and willingly accept monogamy?

Life is so hard for women in ancient times. How can they be expected to work hard and strive for more? To live well, enjoy life, and preserve their dignity? Modern women say the pressure is enormous. Why not just coast along and wait for death?
