Journey to the West: I Livestream a Sermon, and the Monkey Takes It Seriously!

After graduating, Gu Ran returns to his hometown and leases a barren mountain to plant fruit trees. In his spare time, he starts livestreaming, partly to cover his expenses and partly to prepare for selling products online in the future. To attract followers, he needs a gimmick, so Gu Ran dresses up as the Dao Ancestor and hangs a plaque reading "Zixiao Palace" in his room. Who knew it would connect to the world of Journey to the West!

Sun Wukong is studying at Mount Fangcun. After three years, he still hasn't learned any real skills, so he happens to click into the livestream. Seeing the modern bedroom, he genuinely believes it's an immortal paradise and mistakes Gu Ran for the Dao Ancestor!

Now that he finally has a follower, Gu Ran figures he has to put in some effort. He can't just recite the Dao De Jing and call it a day. Why not talk about the Great Freedom Transformation? Transforming oneself, transforming reincarnation, transforming the ages, transforming all living beings, transforming all things!

It was all just made-up nonsense, but to his utter surprise, the monkey actually mastered it! Overcome with excitement, the monkey, who owned nothing of value, tipped him a peach from Mount Fangcun as a gift.
