Three Kingdoms: I Defy Eight Imperial Edicts and Vow to Destroy the Wuhuan

At the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty, the imperial Prince of Yan earned great merit in suppressing the Yellow Turbans and won renown throughout the army.

But Emperor Liu Hong listened to slanderous gossip and issued an edict exiling Prince of Yan to his fief. Without an imperial summons, he was never to return to the capital.

Three years later.

War plagued the land, and the *yuan tribes took advantage of the chaos to invade south, burning, killing, and looting.

The people of the Han Empire's northern frontier were plunged into misery!

Prince of Yan Liu Jing led all the soldiers of the northern frontier in a fight to the death.

They were on the verge of wiping out the northern tribes once and for all.

Just as the situation on the northern frontier was looking bright, the officials at court grew wary of Liu Jing's illustrious military record and his power, which threatened to overshadow the emperor. They seized an opportunity to urge the emperor to act.

Terrified that his throne was in danger, Liu Hong issued eight imperial edicts in a single day, ordering Liu Jing to cease hostilities and withdraw his troops at once!

Liu Jing:

"We sons of Youzhou have spent more than three years preparing for war. Are we really going to let one imperial edict destroy all our efforts?"
