Journey to the West: I’m King Yama, and I Seize Sun Wukong’s Soul from the Start

Lin Ye transmigrates into Journey to the West and becomes King Yama of the Underworld, where he awakens the Netherworld System. Strengthening the Netherworld earns him rewards.

Sun Wukong causes a disturbance in the Underworld?

No need to say more.

Seize him!

Marshal Tianpeng wants to reincarnate?

His paperwork hasn't come through, so keep him here for now.

The Underworld thrives.

No matter how powerful an immortal or deity is, once they die, they have to get the Underworld's approval!

…

Tathagata: "King Yama won't release anyone. There's nothing we can do. Let Six-Eared Macaque and the others go on the pilgrimage instead."

Guanyin: "Buddha, somehow Sun Wukong escaped from Hell. He killed Six-Eared Macaque and is on his way to Spirit Mountain!"

Tathagata: "???"
