Three Kingdoms: I Fled Under Imperial Orders and Took Cai Yan and Diao Chan with Me

Liu He transmigrates to the end of the Han Dynasty, during the Three Kingdoms era, and becomes the son of Liu Yu, Governor of Youzhou.

As a member of the imperial clan, he is taken to Chang'an alongside Liu Xie.

Liu Xie: My dear subject, the coalition of warlords is dragging its feet. Hurry to Youzhou and bring back reinforcements!

Cai Yong: This old man fears he has little time left. I have but one daughter, and I entrust her to you, my worthy nephew. Please treat her well.

Wang Yun: My worthy nephew is a man of great talent. I have an adopted daughter. Why not take her as a concubine?

Under the emperor's secret orders, Liu He flees Chang'an with Cai Yan and Diao Chan, heading for Youzhou.

But Yuan Shao wants to put his bargain of a father, Liu Yu, on the throne, while the warlords east of the passes are divided. As Liu Yu's only son, Liu He is dragged into the political struggle.

Yuan Shu: Boy, you'd better stay here. I'm the one who's going to be emperor.

Cao Cao: Liu Yu's son is a hundred times better than the sons of Liu Biao and Liu Yan!

Yuan Shao: My worthy nephew, hurry back and persuade your father. If he becomes emperor, you'll be crown prince.

On the journey from Chang'an to Youzhou, Liu He must deal with one warlord after another before finally reaching Youzhou.

Gongsun Zan: You've arrived, my worthy nephew? I've already killed your father!
