Chinese Animation Artisan: From the Start, I Create Calabash Brothers with Paper-Cutting

Who says animation has to imitate Japanese or American cartoons? Who says animation is just for kids? Who says it has to be made with computer-generated 3D technology?

Su Chen looked at the domestic animation market, which was full of imitations of Japanese and American cartoons, and decided to create truly Chinese animation with Chinese characteristics and culture!

Paper-cut animation, ink-wash animation, puppet animation... all burst onto the scene!

Calabash Brothers, Black Cat Detective, The Legend of Sealed Book, Baby Tadpoles Look for Their Mother, Havoc in Heaven, Lotus Lantern, Nine-Colored Deer, Nezha Conquers the Dragon King, Ma Liang and His Magic Brush, Magic Cube Mansion, Afanti and the Slacker King...

These were animation techniques, characteristics, and culture that belonged to Chinese animation, all completely original!

When Su Chen's Chinese animation became famous around the world and opened up a whole new field, even the god of Japanese animation was won over!

Su Chen: "At first, I just wanted to sell some toys because my family's toy factory was about to go under."

This novel and its characters are entirely fictional. Any similarities are purely coincidental. Do not imitate.
