The Empress Wants to Pass the Throne to Me, but I'm the Enemy Nation's Crown Prince

Female Emperor: "Lately, my son has been more and more to my liking. I shall pass the throne on to you!"

Zhu Chen transmigrates into the son of the Northern Zhou female emperor, recently brought back to the palace. He is her only child and the sole prince of Northern Zhou, showered with the love and favor of everyone around him.

But none of it is real!

He's actually the crown prince of neighboring Southern Liang!

"This is a novel, and I'm the villain?"

"The real chosen one is the female emperor's biological son?"

"Southern Liang will be destroyed, and I'll be shot full of arrows, left to rot in the wilderness, and reviled for all eternity?"

Zhu Chen clasps his fists without hesitation. "Imperial Mother, I accept the throne!"
