Struck by Lightning During a Ritual, I Became a Trending Topic

A short video recently set the internet ablaze. It showed an old Taoist priest and a young Taoist performing a ritual. Under a cloudless, clear sky, a bolt of lightning suddenly struck the young Taoist.

Top comment: Nice act. Don't do it again, okay?

Comment from a netizen: Whoa, isn't that Taoist Li Wen, a sophomore in the Literature Department at Dongjiang University? Follow me. I'll livestream the young Taoist's daily life every day once school starts. We're classmates.

After Li Wen was discharged from the hospital, he discovered that he had become an internet sensation. Now he had to deal with influencers looking to ride his popularity, as well as a swarm of media reporters...

Reporter: "Mr. Li Wen, some people joke that you were struck by lightning as punishment from Heaven. What do you think?"

Li Wen: "Lightning is a natural phenomenon caused by a powerful electrical discharge when large amounts of positive and negative charges gather together. I'd like to urge everyone to believe in science and reject feudal superstition!"

"Are you done recording? If you're done, clear out! You demon, I knew you weren't human! Take this palm thunder!"

Li Wen conjured a flash of lightning in his palm and sent it straight at the cameraman who was filming.
