The Battle to Save the World

When Heaven and Earth first came into being, the universe was bright and clear. Immortals, gods, saints, and Buddhas dwelt in the heavens; demons, monsters, spirits, and ghosts dwelt below. Order prevailed between Heaven and Earth. But over the course of hundreds of millions of years, the world changed. Xing Hui, a prodigy of the demon realm, cultivated to the Heavenly Demon realm and reached the Thirty-Third Underworld. From then on, the demon realm grew ever stronger, slowly extending its influence into the mortal world and threatening to encroach upon the heavens. Demons grew powerful as immortals waned, and evil ran rampant in the human world. Slaughter was everywhere. People were born wicked, their desires ever growing. The most vicious criminals spread across the land, while the good and righteous met with nothing but misfortune. The Primordial Spirit grew increasingly troubled. Zhou Jin, a young man of Xiangjiang, blessed by the creation of Heaven and Earth, advanced his cultivation through repeated trials in the mortal world. Unwittingly drawn into this war between gods and demons, he ultimately slays the monsters and demons, restoring peace and clarity to the world!
