Walking the Road to Prosperity

Xiao Qiong, a penniless man with nothing left to lose, squeezed himself dry trying to earn a little money for food. He registered on a web-fiction site and churned out the sort of fluffy, formulaic stories flooding the streets, working by lamplight to meet deadlines and earn writing fees. He not only failed to make money, but lost some in the process. After all that running around, he was still reduced to tears, scraping by on dirt.

Still, none of it could dampen his joy in chasing RMB.

His elusive roommate, who shared his surname, rarely came home. One day, unable to stomach Xiao Qiong's pitiful inability to even make a living, he said, "There are so many fujoshi these days, and every romance drama that airs becomes a hit. Why not give it a try?"

Fine, he'd give it a try. But...

He was straight, okay?

Even writing to appeal to their tastes couldn't make him come up with a single bit of rainbow romance!

"You could find someone to try it out with while you write."

What? Try... what? Try being gay? That's way over my head, bro! Besides, where was he supposed to find someone?

Someone?

His roommate raised an inscrutable eyebrow. "Someone!"

Don't wait for updates. It'll be a long wait!
