The Tide of Battle

Having had a difficult childhood, Wang Tong dreamed of countless ways to live a better life. But his alcoholic adoptive father sold him off for some pocket money as a space settler on the distant planet of Nuo Lei. Not long after he arrived, the Zerg occupied the planet and destroyed its defenses in minutes. What awaited Wang Tong on Nuo Lei was more than just an unbearable environment, with gravity five times stronger than Earth's. There were also hordes of Zerg, constant hunger and thirst, and desolation. He survived a year of slaughter and struggle, but eventually the Human Alliance defeated the Zerg on Nuo Lei. The formidable survivor Wang Tong was recommended to a once-renowned but now dying military academy, where he began his life anew.
