Journey to the West: I'm a Low-Ranking Underworld Soldier, Working Nine to Five!

After working overtime to death, Zhong Xuan arrives on the eve of the Journey to the West pilgrimage and, for some inexplicable reason, becomes a ghost soldier stationed at Fengdu Ghost City, working nine to five.

Does that mean I'll be working nine to five just like in my previous life?

Looks like it...

"Clock-In System activated!"

"Congratulations, Host. First sign-in complete. Reward: Ghost Emperor Heart Sutra!"

"Congratulations, you've completed a full week of sign-ins. Reward: Golden Body of the Earthly Way!"

"Congratulations, you've completed a full month of sign-ins. Reward: Great Luo Body of the Six Paths of Reincarnation!"

Li Er, traveling in spirit through the underworld: "Immortal Zhong Xuan, I wish to become sworn brothers with you!"

Great Emperor Beiyin: "Daoist friend Zhong Xuan, we'll discuss guarding the city gate later. Why not join us as a partner instead?"

Zhong Kui: "Bro, there's a demon god picking on me!"

Wukong: "Divine Immortal Zhong Xuan, Old Sun wants to take you as his master!"

Patriarch Bodhi: "This disciple is driving me mad! What a treacherous student!"

The Tathagata: "Dizang, Zhong Xuan is not to be trifled with!"
