Calm the Winds

"With bamboo staff and straw sandals, I walk more lightly than a horse. Who's afraid? Let me spend my life amid wind and rain, in a cloak of straw." This is one of my favorite poems, so I named the work Ding Feng.

This world is full of "strange things."

But what matters is how you see them. Some people love flowers so much they pick them and take them away. Others show their love by watering and fertilizing them. Some choose to take a photo to remember them by.

Gentleness, coldness, kindness, callousness, courage, scheming, perseverance: these are all choices. Just as the wind blows down every road, people too will encounter every kind of choice.

People are all different. Some cling to a troublesome sense of moral superiority. Some foolishly sacrifice themselves for others. Some are always burdened by needless sorrow. Some harbor a fatal weakness within. And some, at times, feel a faint sense of shame.

Those who achieve great things do not get bogged down in trivialities; they cast aside foolish compassion.

Stars will always be stars. Even if people no longer need them, they will still shine, because they do not shine for anyone else.

The story is full of twists and turns, and the only thing its characters never stop doing is changing.

This novel and its characters are entirely fictional. Any resemblance to real people or events is purely coincidental. Do not imitate.
