China's Treasures: Have You Heard Their Music?

As young people become obsessed with Japanese and Korean "idols," and effeminate boy bands grow increasingly popular, newcomers at some music conservatories fawn over the West, as if they can't make music without looking to Europe, America, Japan, or Korea.

The Huaxia Daily weighs in: "Copycat music, like trying to walk in someone else's footsteps."

Huaxia Central Television steps in, and young director Ye Fan is called upon in a time of crisis to launch a music program and set the record straight.

Just as Ye Fan is at a loss, a new soul transmigrates into his body, and he awakens a System that spans past and present.

Does Huaxia have no good music of its own? Do you even listen to their music?

With the help of the System, Ye Fan invites a host of contemporary musicians and recreates the lives of musical masters from ancient times.

"When rock meets the spirit of the Wei and Jin dynasties, the madness of wine and the Guangling Melody are brought back to life."

"What will happen when Master Piao meets Li Shutong, or when Xu Shaonian meets Wang Luobin?"

"What sparks will fly when lyricists Master Fang and Jiang Kui and Liu Yong cross paths?"

The program stuns the nation when it airs, ushering in a flourishing of traditional music and culture. Meanwhile, Ye Fan struggles to return to his original body. This is a journey of the soul.
