Journey to the West: I Dug a Pit and Buried the Monkey from the Start

Lin Fan transmigrated into Patriarch Bodhi. Looking at the disciples under his tutelage, he was a little bewildered.

“Wukong! Whether you have something to do or not, come home and visit often. Whenever I call, you’d better be there!”

One day, Sun Wukong came running back to Mount Fangcun in a sorry state.

“Master, you have to stand up for me! The Jade Emperor is picking on this monkey!”

Another day, the monkey stood with his hands on his hips, neck craned, pointing at the Tathagata with a brazen look on his face.

“Tathagata! Just you wait, if you’ve got the guts!”
