Journey to the West: Buddha, This Monkey Is Just Coasting Through Life

After transmigrating into Journey to the West as Sun Wukong, he activated the Slacker System.

He could grow stronger by eating and doing nothing.

From then on, Sun Wukong embarked on the path of eating and doing nothing.

He had no interest in seeking immortality or pursuing the Dao, and even less interest in cultivating.

He did not even want to be the Monkey King.

And so, a lazy layabout who did nothing but eat and wait around appeared on Flower-Fruit Mountain.

Jianglong and Fuhu: We must have mistaken him for someone else. This monkey is way too dedicated to eating and doing nothing!

Six-Eared Macaque: Don't follow me! I'm really not... You have the wrong person!

Patriarch Bodhi: Wukong! Why haven't you come up the mountain yet?

Tathagata Buddha: Sun Wukong, what is there to be attached to in this mortal world? Don't you want to live forever?

Sun Wukong: Birth, aging, sickness, and death are only natural. What Old Sun looks forward to most is doing nothing and slowly growing old.
