The Story of Ah Hua

Xingcheng: a city surrounded by water, with a thriving entertainment and cultural industry. It is known as the capital of entertainment and the city that never sleeps.

“Concern for the world, daring to lead the way.” This is the spirit passed down through generations of locals, though somehow “Live for entertainment, enjoy the moment” seems more fitting.

By day, the streets are packed with traffic and the city teems with people. By night, the whole city glows with lights and never sleeps. The thriving entertainment and cultural industries bring Xingcheng an incalculable annual income, allowing its entertainment sector to spread ever wider, like bamboo shoots after rain.

As the national economy slumped and unemployment and furloughs increased, Xingcheng, the provincial capital, began drawing in large numbers of people from elsewhere. With their arrival, the already small city became a stronghold for various factions, while people from all walks of life began clustering together. Everyone wanted a share, and society grew turbulent. The times were quietly changing.

This was an era.

A gray era ushered in by the entertainment industry.
