Great Shang: I Wanted to Lie Flat, but King Zhou Found Out

"Greetings, Your Majesty."

"My dear ministers, there is no need for formalities."

Inside Chaoge, lavish music and dancing filled the hall. The ministers raised their cups in a toast, their families seated beside them. It was just an ordinary banquet.

Seated at the center was the king of Great Shang, King Zhou.

Just enjoy yourself. No matter how happy you are, you don't have many days left. You might as well make the most of them.

A voice suddenly rang in King Zhou's ear.

"Who said that?"

King Zhou turned toward You Hun, who was nearest to him, and slapped him.

"Was that you, You Hun? How dare you curse me!"

"Your Majesty!"

You Hun looked utterly bewildered.

"How could I possibly curse Your Majesty? Besides, I haven't said a word this whole time."

Just then, that familiar voice spoke again.

Well, he deserves the beating. If he hadn't kept feeding you slanderous advice every day, Great Shang wouldn't have fallen so soon.

So I was right to hit You Hun!

But who exactly is talking to me?
