Great Tang: Li Yuan Exposes Me as a Lost Imperial Heir

In the eighth year of the Daye era, Yang Guang dreams that the Li clan will usurp the throne and orders the execution of all Li clan children.

To save himself, Li Yuan abandons his infant son.

In the ninth year of the Wude era, the Xuanwu Gate Incident takes place. Li Shimin slaughters all his brothers, seizes control of the Li dynasty, and imprisons Li Yuan in Chang’an.

That same year, while out in Chang’an, Li Yuan encounters a young man named Li Xian with a dragon-shaped birthmark and is overcome with shock!

Li Yuan: “My boy, I’ve finally found you! Eighteen years, and I’ve finally found you! I’m your father!”

Li Xian: “Old man, are you sick or something? Have you been drinking too much bootleg liquor?”

Li Yuan: “My boy, I really am your father. To be honest, I’m also the Retired Emperor. Do you want to become emperor?”
