Realizing his time is nearly up, the old Daoist Chongyang wants to secure an immortal reputation that will be remembered for generations.

So he falsely claims that he is about to attain the Dao, ascend to the heavens, and join the ranks of the immortals.

To make his lie seem even more convincing, he secretly hides away to die without telling his disciple, Chen Tai.

He creates the illusion that his physical body has ascended to heaven.

Unfortunately, his remains are discovered by the little monkey raised by Chen Tai.

Fortunately, Chen Tai awakens a mysterious System and obtains a low-grade Resurrection Pill.

With the help of the Resurrection Pill, the Real Chongyang wakes up in a cave.

Unaware of the truth, the old Daoist Chongyang thinks the Dao Ancestor saw how earnestly he sought the Dao and manifested to bring him back from the dead.

Overcome with pride, he heads back to the temple to show off to his disciple, Chen Tai.

But when the two meet...
