Nightmare: the First Half of My Life

What a retired soldier says! A close friend who I hadn't seen for a long time suddenly found me and asked me to bring my laptop and go with him to his rental house to help him out. However, on the way there, he unexpectedly told me that he wanted to tell me about his many years of experience, and he hoped that I could help him write his experience into a book. I was about to say, "I don't know about your experience," but before I could say anything, I remembered that except for occasional gatherings of friends, I had no news about this close friend over the years. I suddenly realized that although I have been a close friend for many years, I didn't know him well, which made me feel ashamed. My strong curiosity prompted me to listen carefully to his story. X-files, terrifying unknown creatures, supernatural strange things, eternal mysteries and a series of bizarre things are all his personal experiences. Unfortunately, I am not a professional writer, and my best friend is not very good at telling stories. Fortunately, I have read a lot of books. Based on his imperfect narration and my own guesses after listening, I spent a lot of time and thought to finally string his narration into a story, which can be regarded as helping my best friend fulfill his wish. This novel and its characters are purely fictitious. Any similarity is purely coincidental and should not be imitated.
