From the Start, I Was Ordered to Set Up Investigation Team 404

Some sit in the light, while others bow their heads in darkness.

After saving the campus beauty from falling off a cliff, the protagonist, Lin Xiu, unexpectedly obtains a bronze tree imbued with the power of thunder.

Soon afterward, a group of men in black knock on Lin Xiu's door.

"Here's your chance to save the world. Are you in?"

"No."

"We offer full benefits, meals and accommodation, plus a girl on the side."

"Here's my application. Thank you."

And so, the first leader of the 404 Paranormal Investigation Team appears.
