Mysterious Invasion: The Strange and Supernatural Bestiary

In a modern parallel world with eastern and western continents and a certain island nation, mysterious and terrifying spiritual entities invade human society. They fall into three categories: gods, demons, and ghosts. Humans infected by demons undergo mutations. Among the three, the gods are friendly toward humanity, the demons remain neutral, and the ghosts harbor an inexplicable hostility toward humans.

With the gods' help, humanity gradually learns how to fight demons and ghosts, sealing demons into masks that bear their distinctive features and turning ghosts into bizarre instruments of torture. In reality, the gods seek human faith so they can use it to descend fully upon this land. Though the demon clan has been sealed away, its power still affects those who possess it, gradually turning them into demons. And although ghosts have been made into instruments of torture, their forms are actually unstable. Even when they are not used, they still cause negative effects...

Are the gods truly benevolent, the demons truly evil, and the ghosts truly terrifying...?
