Journey to the West: I, Jin Chanzi, Guardian of Buddhism

From the start, he became a young novice monk at the Great Thunderclap Temple in Journey to the West. He thought that all he had to do was listen to the scriptures and meditate, and he would become a Buddha or patriarch.

But to his surprise, he turned out to be the famous Golden Cicada, the fated Pilgrim.

The Buddhas pressured him relentlessly to reincarnate and embark on the pilgrimage.

Chen Feng awakened a Divine Choice System.

Choice One: Gladly accept Buddha's demand to reincarnate as the Pilgrim. Reward: the title of Buddhism's lapdog, plus a kasaya, a monk's staff, and an alms bowl.

Choice Two: Argue his case with Buddha and firmly refuse to become the Pilgrim. Reward: the rank of Buddha.

Choice Three: Send all the Buddhas into reincarnation and become the guardian of Buddhism. Reward: authority over the Six Paths of Reincarnation.

Chen Feng smiled and said to the Buddhas filling the sky:

"The rise of Buddhism is everyone's responsibility. Please, all of you, go reincarnate."
