Heaven-Trapping

More than six million years ago, the Sorian people of the Celestial race used their own DNA to create the Kree. Hundreds of thousands of years later, the Kree Empire rose over the ruins of the Skrull Empire to become one of the most powerful forces in the universe.

Several thousand years ago, long-standing tensions erupted into civil war within the Kree Empire. The Kree prince led the forces loyal to him in overthrowing the rule of the Supreme Intelligence and establishing a new Kree Empire. But the civil war left the empire severely weakened, forcing it to withdraw from the galactic power struggle.

Thanos of Titan claimed he wanted to solve the problems of dwindling universal resources and explosive population growth. Leading the Black Order, he conquered Hala, the Kree Empire's capital. Ronan fell in battle, and Thanos's forces slaughtered the entire population. The Kree prince vanished amid the chaos, his fate unknown. Thus, a mighty empire that had once dominated the universe was destroyed, leaving countless people shaking their heads and sighing.

Then time moved on to Earth in 2013…
