About This Novel

I was sitting in my brother's shop that day. It's hard to believe that my brother's shop is in a place that's not even a community. The buildings on three sides formed a long and narrow courtyard. The side facing the street was sealed from left to right by a large hollow iron gate, surrounding the courtyard into a cage. Not to mention a tree, not even a blade of grass could be seen in the yard. There was only a gray-white concrete floor that could be trampled on. My brother rented Yuanba for almost free and opened a Sichuan-style snack bar. It did a good business selling cold noodles with jelly, chicken wings and duck feet. Even so, my brother still complains all day long. His biggest wish now is for a lump of gold to fall from the sky, and it would be better if it hits him directly into his arms, so that he doesn't even have to bend his back.
