About This Novel
In the 1960s, the passionate young man Zhao Huaihai and his partners entered Vietnam to prepare to participate in the battle to resist U. S. Aggression and aid Vietnam. Zhao Huaihai was assigned to the anti-aircraft artillery unit as a soldier. He met Ku Xiaoyuan, a female soldier nurse he had met when he was a boy, and the two participated in the rescue of injured pilots. During the joint battle, Zhao Huaihai and Ku Xiaoyuan developed feelings. Zhao Huaihai participated in the battle, witnessed the cruelty of the battlefield, and later died. The novel is intended to be a biography of these ordinary soldiers and passionate young people who sacrificed their lives for their lofty and pure revolutionary ideals in Vietnam.
