This book is another unique masterpiece by Defoe, the author of Robinson Crusoe. It was praised by British writer Wolf as "one of the few great novels in Britain". The novel is written in the first person point of view, which is very shocking. The protagonist in the book always appears as a sinner - from the age of eighteen to sixty, she has committed all kinds of evil except murder and treason.
