About This Novel
On Christmas Eve before Christmas, at a certain moment, the elevator of the office building was running downwards, and people came up one after another: a designer whose dream was derailed in a siege, a humble and lonely courier, a female white-collar worker worried about her wedding room, an uncle reporter who was alone after divorce, a department manager whose marriage was ruined, people in five living conditions were gathered in a small space. After the elevator door opened, what would happen to them that night? An elevator, five characters, all kinds of chaos, excitement, boredom, ecstasy, sadness, both independent and related to each other. In the novel, although the situations of the protagonists of different classes, ages, and genders are different, their hearts point to the anxiety and uneasiness of the current era. The accidental changes in the fate of the characters and the direction of the story make the whole work full of black style.
