In Beijing, many people don't like their living conditions to be disrupted by others. Everyone has their own living space. People living in this kind of metropolis are like trees planted on the roadside. Maybe one day their branches will occasionally touch each other in the wind, but there is always an untouchable distance between the straight trunks. Three young women who rent together in an apartment building in Beijing include Qin Zisu, a successful white-collar worker, Gao Jingxian, a divorcee who has failed in business and marriage, and Xia Rendong, a cynical and beautiful Beijing girl. Originally, they were living their own happy lives in their respective fields along their own life trajectories. However, they met in this rental house with different personalities, different experiences, different attitudes towards life, and different life instincts.
