This book is an autobiographical novel published by Danish writer Karen Blixen in 1937. This version is a fully translated version without abridgements. The author was nominated for the Nobel Prize for Literature twice for "Out of Africa" and is known as Denmark's "Literary National Treasure" as famous as Andersen. The film adaptation of the same name won seven Oscars. This autobiographical novel depicts the author's story of running a coffee farm in Africa from 1914 to 1931. With her unique ingenuity, she integrates many people, events, scenery and objects into one, and her sincere emotions for Africa and African people are revealed between the lines. The novel records the interactions between white people and indigenous people, every detail of their lives, the author's hardships in running the farm and her love. It is sentimental and touching. The novel's description of the natural scenery of Africa is very popular. After the book was published, it continued to sell well in East Africa and English-speaking countries. It was reprinted many times and translated into dozens of languages and became popular around the world.
