About This Novel
The great detective Philip Marlowe is at work again. This time his patron is a rich widow with a fat body, a gloomy face, and an alcoholism. Marlowe's task is to recover a stolen precious coin from the widow's house - the Brash gold coin. The widow insisted that the thief was the daughter-in-law who had always been a thorn in her side. The case seems very simple, but the only problem is that every insider who receives a visit from Marlowe will be greeted by death... And for Marlowe, this is also very unfortunate, because a private spy who leaves a string of corpses behind him will sooner or later attract the attention of the police. If Marlowe cannot find the answer from the maze as soon as possible, then he may be the next person to lie in the "big wooden box"...
