About This Novel
What kind of existence am I? Maybe, there is no me at all, there are only memories that have appeared. Takashi Tsuruga and his best friend Tomohiko are both engaged in cutting-edge research in brain science, and have been brothers and sisters for more than ten years. One day, Tomohiko grandly introduced his new girlfriend Mayuko to him. He suddenly discovered that it was the woman he had fallen in love with at first sight but missed. Love and hate intertwined in Chongshi's heart, and he was tortured by jealousy and self-blame until he was on the verge of collapse. However, overnight, Mayuko actually lived with him as a matter of course, and never mentioned Tomohiko. Tomohiko, who was originally dedicated to researching human brain memory, also disappeared.

Only after reading one or two chapters of the book can I understand the author's writing mode, which cuts things that happened in the same time period into two parts, with the incident of Chongshi revising his memory as the midpoint, and divides what happened before and after into two parts for cross-narration. This kind of narrative method will undoubtedly bring certain obstacles to readers' reading, but it is this kind of ambiguity that makes the novel seem more suspenseful, which makes the novel covered with a layer of mystery of success, so that it does not appear to be straightforward and unoriginal when reading. This is both the success of the novel and the author's good intentions.
