About This Novel
This is a college student majoring in ancient Chinese who has been repeatedly downtrodden on the road to employment. Back in the era of Zhongzong of the Joseon Dynasty (the Zhengde Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty), Lord Yanshan was deposed and supported the Lord of Jincheng as king. He was named Zhongzong, and was called Zhongzong anyway in history. The Joseon Dynasty implemented a strict hierarchical system, which was divided into four levels from top to bottom: yangban, middle people, good people (ordinary people), and untouchables. During the Zhongzong period, the national power rose and the government was ruled by the arch; laws and regulations were relaxed, and official discipline was lax; in the court, the noble faction and the scholar faction fought back and forth. In the rivers and lakes, there were some Japanese pirates in the south and Jurchen harassment in the north. But generally speaking, it can be said that this was a fertile ground for the freedom of scholar-bureaucrats. The legend of the rise of a humble family grew from here.

Ancient Korean imperial examinations
This is the first time I have read a novel about the imperial examination written in ancient Korea I hope to write more about the ancient imperial examination system in Korea I'm more curious about what the imperial examination was like in ancient Korea. Is it the same as the ancient Chinese imperial examination?
