"Midnight in June" In the middle of June, he waited in the dark for Lavinia to return home, using fear as bait and immersed in the memories of hide-and-seek. Then he showed up at the restaurant and while he was waiting again, his refill of milk spilled over the rim of the glass. "The Town Has Fallen Asleep" Lavinia and her friends watched the evening movie and heard rumors of a lone man murdering someone in the town. She ran home alone, feeling someone following her all the way. Finally entering the house, just as he was still in shock, he heard movement coming from inside the house. "Sailor, Returning from the Sea" The calm and storm before a thousand storms and calms were enough for him to remember for the rest of his life. The old captain stayed with the houseboat for the rest of his life, just because he remembered the epitaph carved by his wife with her life: "Never touch the land."
