About This Novel
"Next, I would like to invite the most noble recipient of the Order of the Garter, the Grand Cross of St. Michael and St. George, the Grand Cross of the Bath, the Victoria Cross and the Order of Merit, a leader in the anti-colonial cause, a bell ringer for the East India Company, a hero of the Crimean War, a fellow of the Royal Society, a lifelong friend of Dickens, Alexandre Dumas and other great writers, Farah A staunch supporter of scientific stars such as Darwin and Darwin, he has served as Assistant Under-Secretary, Under-Secretary-General and Permanent Under-Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Admiralty of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, the first Cabinet Secretary and Civil Service Minister of the Kingdom, the first batch of graduates of the school and the most outstanding alumni in history, the distinguished Sir Arthur Hastings delivered a speech at the 50th anniversary celebration of the founding of the University of London. " Arthur's eyes swept across the audience, looking at the young faces, and murmured: "Agares, what do you think I should say?" The shadow of the red devil floated behind him, and saliva almost flowed from the corners of his mouth: "Look at these ignorant souls, they still worship you as a hero, why don't you tell them something they like to hear?" Arthur took a deep breath and let out a deafening roar: "Oxford is a bunch of sons of bitches!" "Oh!!!" The audience burst into thunderous applause. "The same goes for Cambridge!" He added immediately. The applause was even louder. (The protagonist possessed by the devil travels through 19th century England, with a world view without demons)

Good book but I probably won't collect it
Like the title, I reiterate that this is a really good book and the author is really awesome. However, as the saying goes, wild boars cannot eat fine chaff. Nowadays, I am no longer willing to use my brain when reading, and I am no longer willing to have a little patience to look forward to the subsequent development of the plot and exciting plots. I am ashamed. I wish the author better writing, successful career, and all the best... 😘
Supporting Character Portrayal
Dear author, after reading dozens of chapters you wrote, here are some of my thoughts: It is absolutely correct that Arthur, as the protagonist, occupies most of the chapters. However, being in London, the center of the world in the 19th century, and still in the midst of political party disputes, the people around him must also be very different from ordinary people. Since they are different from ordinary people, they must show differences, and additional chapters are needed to describe them. Can more chapters be added to portray their characters, hearts, and lives? Otherwise, I always feel that only the protagonist has an impression on the people of London, which may be a bit monotonous. As for some knowledge points of that era, such as utilitarianism, they can be discussed in small pieces. They do not have to be described like popular science, otherwise it will seem a bit inconsistent. Finally, thank you readers for creating such an interesting novel and painting such a wonderful picture for readers who are curious about modern Western life. Come on, readers! ! !
The introduction is very exciting, but the content is a bit dry. Although the plot progresses layer by layer, the pace is too slow and lacks exciting and explosive points. It is difficult to watch it in one go without a lot of patience!
Looks like an American drama
First of all, I watched more than a dozen pictures of the main character, but I don't know what the flow system is, and I don't know what the role of the devil is. There are a lot of narrations that make people think hard. If this is an American TV series, it would be good, but this is a novel. I have to brainstorm a lot of plot scenes. It is too tiring to watch. It feels a bit like classical Chinese. The history written by the author should be that the British Industrial Revolution has begun, right? Do you have a musket? Why are you still using a knife? It can be seen that the author's writing is good, but this story is too boring. You might as well write it in an imaginary way instead of following historical development.
First of all, I added it to my bookshelf and haven't read it yet, but the anti-colonial leaders in the introduction are very confusing to me. The British mainly relied on colonies to support their global hegemony. What kind of anti-colonial troubles are you going to make😌? I can also understand the East India Company's Bell Ringer as changing the way of colonial exploitation.
nice
The book is good and beautiful. Come on, author, don't stop updating.
wryyyyyyyy. I'm so high! Finally found the chaff
Wryyyyyyyy. I'm so high! Finally found the chaff
The plot is watchable, but it's too clumsy. It's a lot of meaningless encyclopedias. Even if you get bored and just skip it, it will have almost no impact on reading the subsequent plot. It can be said that even if you read it, millions of words have been written. In fact, the plot content is estimated to be at most one million words.

❀S❀ [Steam Great Britain] In the era of the Industrial Revolution, the protagonist who signed a contract with the devil started as a small sheriff to realize his ideal world. A great historical article, all details are exquisite. Plot ★★★★★☆ Settings ★★★★★☆ Character ★★★★★☆

Fantasy Possession The protagonist travels back in time to become a policeman in Great Britain, and at the same time battles wits and courage with the devil in his body. It feels like two protagonists, but neither one is a good person. The characterization is not bad, but the plot is slow to warm up. Dry food

[Good Grass+++] [Highly recommended] [Worth watching] When I opened the book, I thought it was a steampunk fantasy journey. Unexpectedly, I accidentally fell into a piece of European history. This civilization is completely different from Chinese civilization, This is the best of times and the worst of times; This is the age of wisdom, this is the age of foolishness; This is the age of trust, this is the age of doubt; This is the season of light, this is the season of darkness; This is the spring of hope, this is the winter of despair; We have everything before us and nothing before us; We're all going straight to heaven, we're all going straight to hell... The protagonist, a non-believer with a demon in his heart, throws himself into this era without hesitation and uses his own power to make it better.

Although it is a world view without demons, the existence of demons adds a fantasy color to this work that can be called a historical text. I personally still think that the devil adds color to the story setting. In addition to the basic gags that make the story progress more smoothly, what the devil says is actually the direction of the main plot, which makes the overall story smoother. It is actually used very well. Going back to this book, I think it is an excellent story from every aspect. Whether it is the author's precise language expression and accurate grasp of the historical background, it is very sincere. I highly recommend it.
