In an ordinary town, librarian Lin Mo lives an ordinary life. One day, while cleaning up the basement of the library, he discovered a mysterious ancient diary. The owner of the diary, Irene, recorded a ritual that could travel through time and space, and described in detail the historical events she had personally experienced. Lin Mo initially thought it was just a fictional story, but as he read more deeply, he found that the details in the diary were surprisingly consistent with real historical events. Curiosity drove him to try the ritual in the diary, and unexpectedly successfully traveled there. He witnessed the cruelty of war with his own eyes and saved a little girl named Anna. However, when he returns to the real world, he discovers that time travel is not without cost - each time travel leaves tiny cracks in the timeline, and these cracks gradually widen, causing abnormalities in the real world to begin.
