About This Novel

"Small Scenery under the Moon" is a collection of short stories written by Shen Congwen from 1932 to 1933. It includes nine stories including "Small Scenery under the Moon" and "Shan Tuo", plus 10 "Inscriptions". It was published as a single volume by Shanghai Modern Book Company in November 1933. In May 1936, the whole book was compiled into "Selected Works of Congwen's Novels". The articles included in this collection were all written by Shen Congwen in his own opinion.
