"The Magic Marsh" includes George Sand's famous pastoral novels "The Magic Marsh" and "Little Fadette". "The Demon Swamp" is about a young farmer named Germain who is unfortunately widowed and struggling to survive with his three children. Her father-in-law kindly introduced her to a wealthy widow from a neighboring village as his wife. Germain took his young son and a poor girl from his neighbor to propose marriage. On the way, he slept beside a pond called "Magic Swamp" by the locals. The young man and woman took care of each other, increased their understanding, developed feelings, and finally got married. The girl in "Little Fadette" lost her parents when she was young and was raised by her grandmother who was familiar with herbal medicine knowledge. Therefore, she was discriminated against by the villagers. After understanding her noble character, a handsome young man named Lang Deli from the same village fell in love with her despite the opposition and ridicule of others. Under the influence of love, the girl who used to be naughty, willful, and unkempt changed her bad habits and became a neat, respectable girl. Everyone also changed their inherent prejudices, and the lovers finally got married.
