This book contains more than 200 poems written by Heine from 1816 to 1855, which can be roughly divided into three stages: the early lyric poetry stage, the most representative works of this period are "Loreley", "There is a Pine Tree in the North", "You Are Like a Flower" and "Declaration"; in the mature stage of poetry creation, Heine created many poems on political current affairs, many of which are powerful and bold. It became "Ode", "Doctrine", "Tendency", "The Textile Workers of Silesia" and the long poem "Germany - A Winter's Fairy Tale" and other poems full of fighting spirit. Among them, "The Textile Workers of Silesia" (1844) is even known as the "Marseillaise of the German working class"; in the low and tragic late period, the main poems include "Where to Go Now", "Determined Sentinel" and "Testament".
