About This Novel
In 274 AD, Rome captured the city of Palmyra, and Zenobia, the queen of the Qin Dynasty and the late Chu Dynasty, died in prison. Palmyra became another important military location for Roman border defense. In 619 AD, the Persians successively captured Syria, Antioch, and Jerusalem, conquered the entire Egypt, and expanded their territory to its peak. In 622 AD, the Byzantine Emperor Heraclius led his own army to conquer the Persians, unexpectedly defeating the Persians from the sea, and regained a large area of lost territory in one fell swoop. In this vast new time and space, the Eastern and Western Roman forces combined their swords to repel the invading Persian cavalry at the expense of betraying their allies. But the treacherous peace cannot last long, and the crisis is slowly approaching under the flowers and feasts: the Eastern Roman emperor is suffering from strange illnesses, and his regime is in danger; the remnants of Persia, which have fled all the way, are like centipede insects, trying to make a comeback with the help of the evil god. Unable to save himself, Maxian had no choice but to let the former emperors go free. But seeing the empire gradually declining, their ambitions were once again ignited by this troubled world...
