Wolf Brothers and Tiger Brothers
About This Novel
On July 7, 1937, the Japanese army brazenly launched the Marco Polo Bridge Incident, which kicked off China's Anti-Japanese War. Soon, the invaders quickly moved south with their powerful force. After the "8.13" Incident, in just one year, all the chokepoints along the southeast coast of China fell, and the Guangzhou-Kowloon Railway and the Yunnan-Vietnam Railway were also cut off. In August 1938, the National Government accepted the suggestion of Long Yun, Chairman of Yunnan Province, and began to build the 1,146-kilometer-long Yunnan-Myanmar Highway from Kunming via Chuxiong, Xiaguan, Wanding, and Ruili to Lashio, Myanmar. It became the only channel for transporting military supplies stranded abroad to support the Anti-Japanese War.
