About This Novel
The whole of northern Shaanxi was taking a nap for a long time. When I woke up from a nap in the summer when I was a teenager, I always felt that something was too late, that I couldn't catch up, that I was abandoned by a large group of people and a big thing. Now I wake up alone from my nap again, knowing that someone is in my dream, that someone has gone somewhere unknown, that there are some things and that some people have forgotten me. Sometimes I am afraid of those who are sleeping and feel that my whole being has been abandoned. Since I was a child, I was nominally adopted by my uncle, my third father. In dialect, we call our father's elder brother and younger brother daddy, and the eldest is the father. In writing, I am used to calling him uncle, and sometimes I call him little daddy. My uncle herds sheep every day.
