About This Novel
I graduated from junior high school in 1969, which coincided with the catastrophe of the "Cultural Revolution". I actually only received 6 years of formal primary school education. Most of my junior high school years were spent during the "Great Revolution" and "Great Criticism." After that, I joined the queue, returned to the city, and worked, until the reform and opening up. Due to various reasons, I never had a chance to go to university, which is a regret in my life. Fortunately, I did not give up my pursuit of knowledge. In the following decades of life, I always worked hard to move forward. Moving forward requires knowledge. My accumulation of knowledge actually started from jumping in line on the yellow land. The yellow land is my "university", which affects and even determines my life. The "university" of the loess land is unique, as evidenced by the "three records".
