About This Novel

The protagonist Don Quixote is addicted to chivalry novels and decides to go out on adventures and become a chivalrous knight. He found Sancho Panza, a farmer from the same village, as his attendant. He went on adventures three times and did many ridiculous things. In the end, he was defeated by his friend who disguised himself as the Knight of the White Moon. He gave up his knightly travels and fell ill shortly after returning home. Before he died, he realized that he had been superstitious about chivalry novels.

Don Quixote

After watching Don Quijote, many people are full of negative comments and criticisms, but have they ever thought about it... If the world were truly peaceful, Don Quixote would not carry his sword to the end of the world. If a person is truly kind, he will not always punish evil and promote good. When we were reading, did we also consider that in his 60s, he was still working hard for his dreams, still fighting tenaciously, and still meticulously abiding by the rules inherited from chivalry? This is really worthy of my praise. ...

Watching Don Quixote, I thought of Kong Yiji, which made me feel uncomfortable. How can a group of lunatics talk nonsense to a lunatic? Wouldn't it make him even crazier? Let those things that make people unable to extricate themselves and cannot distinguish between true and false be called Don Quixote's chivalric novels.

I feel that Don Quixote is sometimes more similar to Captain Jack Sparrow. Both are crazy, but Jack is wise and foolish, and Don Quixote is really stupid.

We can see his ignorance and ridiculousness in Don Quixote, but we should see his persistent pursuit of his ideals. Ridiculous but intriguing... In the context of the times, it implies the author's views on society!

Although I haven't read it yet, I read the introduction to the book and got a general understanding of the character of Don Quixote. Although he is ignorant, ridiculous and even absurd, he still adheres to his ideals when he is over fifty years old and strives to pursue it regardless of the eyes of the world. This spirit is worth learning from. . . .
