About This Novel
This book is a record of correspondence between Zhou Shi and some authors during his six years as editor-in-chief of "Book House" magazine. The author truthfully records and affectionately recalls his interactions with 28 senior gentlemen, including Zhang Zhongxing, Xiao Qian, Li Rui, Shu Wu, Li Shenzhi, Zizhongjun, Liushahe, and Lan Yingnian, and publishes the letters and handwriting of these senior gentlemen for the first time. From these written exchanges, readers can not only read the stories behind the publication of many heavyweight manuscripts in "Book House" magazine, but also feel the "gentlemanly style" of this group of old intellectuals.
